Ok, so my birthday just passed. I'm now 28. A stupid place to post my personal benchmarks, but i'm 196cm (6'5") and 99kg (about 218lbs). Lost alot since i gained alot but not at where i want to be.
So my plans on writing about my daily life here has pretty much fallen through the pooper. I will probably regret it 5 years from now when i'm thinking, what did I do when i was in korea for a year? I know I had fun but damnit now. I didn't write down the fun details. But at this point I am just in zen and enjoying what I can, learning the language and living life. I will probably write some at some point. But now is not the time.
Anyway... On a completely different topic, I've been thinking about when I get back. I know my options. But among them is a more organized and back in business me. And with those plans comes an organizer. A PDA. when I was last organizing my life, I went with a zaurus which is a linux PDA. It was kind of nice to me because it ran linux and I thought, hey i can make programs for it. That's all great but in reality i never got to programming for it and the Personal information manager (PIM), i.e. address book, to-do list, scheduler, etc, was sub par. open source or basic at best.
Before I had the zaurus, I had a palm pilot which was very nice when i had used it. But I gave that to my mom. Plus times have changed. Now I'm leaning back toward the palm pilot. It had a good PIM system and it was easy and fairly stable.
But now my dilemma is this... Should I go with an all in one palm pilot cellphone? I could have my address book, and everything along with phone calling. I would always have it on me and be able to access all of my organizing information. On the other hand, I couldn't just dilly dally with it in my pocket. it's pretty small but the screens and buttons are a little exposed.
On the other hand, I could get a regular PDA and then a different cellphone of my choice. I would have the cellphone for calling and my pda for everything else.
In this case it would be easy for me to go rollerblading or whatever with my cellphone in my pocket and not worrying about the screen or anything. And for that matter I could switch between service providers and not worry about having extra baggage on my PDA (i.e. a smaller screen and an antenna).
This isn't exactly a life threatening decision. Both are pleasant thoughts. If I was given either choice, I would be happy with my life. But the decision is difficult nonetheless. comments are welcome, but i've pretty much laid out the pros and cons already. it's just deciding which is better.
At this point i'm leaning towards seperate set so i can switch between service providors and use the pda regardless. but i'm also very tempted by an all in one device that i can just have my pda with me at all times and just happen to make calls from it... oh decisions decisions...
